Bonanza - The Real Deal :
Cozy yet effective casino joint thats in North Reno, off the beaten path. Bonanza caters more to a locals crowd, but weekenders who like to hit the off-strip Vegas joints (Palace Station etc) will dig the Bonanza as well - particularly if you miss the lost art of the $1 blackjack or 25-cent craps tables of days gone by.
Location of Bonanza:
North Reno - head north on Virginia Street from downtown - Bonanza will be on your right about 10 minutes after you go over Interstate 80.

Cool Stuff About Bonanza:
They have car and motorcycle shows periodically.
Their restaurant serves fucking Bison. Bison? Bo Bison?
Bonanza History
It's just a gambling hall, no storied history here. We list this just in case you want to "hit them all" during your barnstorming run through Reno.
The Rooms at Bonanza
The Bonanza does not have a hotel attached to it.
Restaurants at Bonanza
Cactus Creek for Navajo-influenced southwestern style foodstuffs. Their menu says they serve Bison, T-Bone or Filet Mignon. Never had bison before. Word up to that. Either way they've got all the f-ing meat you could possibly ask for served in an astonishing array of varieties. It's an impressive menu actually and you're sure to find something from the surf or turf to keep you happy.
The Branding Iron Cafe is open 24-7 for coffee shop style meals or the lunch and dinner buffets (11am - 2pm and 4:30-9pm respectively). Sunday they have a Prime Rib buffet from 4-9pm for $13 bucks. Hope you're hungry.
