Harrah's Reno - The Real Deal :
It's a Harrah's. You've been to one you've been to all... although Harrah's Reno is a bit less cramped and laid back than the Vegas version. Harrah's Lake Tahoe is really the best one of em all. The slots can be a bit tight sometimes (not as bad as Harrah's Laughlin though - sheesh) and the layout is particularly. On the major plus side - there's always Vegas rules blackjack and $5-10 tables available at all times day or night. The dealers are friendly and helpful and the clientele... well they're just plain nice folks (except if you come on motorcycle or racing weekends - then its a bit nuts.)
Location of Harrah's Reno:
Catty corner to Eldorado. Southern most casino on the downtown strip... just steps away from the famous Reno Arch

Cool Stuff About Harrah's Reno:
Sammy Davis Jr. - the greatest entertainer who ever lived - had a long term contract at Harrah's Reno. The showroom at Harrahs Reno is called "Sammys Showroom" - nice touch.
Harrah's Reno History
Bill Harrah parleyed a Reno bingo hall into what is now the largest gaming company in the known universe. Like everything in the world, Reno's casino skyline continues to evolve. Below this casino lies the rubble of the historic Nevada Club and Harold's. Someday another company will own Harrahs and this place will be demolished.
The Rooms at Harrah's Reno
Good clean quality rooms from Harrah's home base in Reno. You can't really go wrong here, particularly if you're burning off some of your Vegas comps on a quick getaway to Reno.
Better rooms are available at the Eldorado (the spa suite) and Silver Legacy downtown. The price difference is probably only 50 bucks or so... you can't really go wrong here.
Restaurants at Harrah's Reno
Harrah's Reno offers a bunch of nice food options including Chinese and Japanese cuisine, (Lucky Noodle Bar & Ichiban respectively) Cafe Napa, Andreotti for your Italian delight, Harrah's Steakhouse (which is quite good), the standard Carvings Buffet and a Quiznos.
Harrah's Reno also has a Starbucks... sweeeeet!
Harrah's Reno Tips
Harrah's Reno allows pets, but you must bring a mini-kennel to keep them in while you are out of the room.
Looking for a car to get you to Lake Tahoe? Harrah's Reno has a rental car deal way in the back of the joint.
